Gamblin Stand Oil is polymerized refined linseed oil produced from North American flax seeds. After linseed oil has been refined by neutralizing the free acidity, it is heated in a vacuum until it thickens. Stand Oil Leaves an enamel like finish. Adding oily Stand Oil increases the tendency of oil paintings to wrinkle (alligator), and slows down the drying time. High viscosity and moderate dry. A heat-bodied, heavy oil that leaves an enamel-like finish. 8 oz.
