From the Manufacturer These solid brass locks come equipped with a vinyl covering over the shackle and lock body. This vinyl covering protects the lock from the elements while also preventing scratches or dents to the items it secures. This lock comes standard with a solid brass body and either a hardened steel or stainless steel shackle. Even if moisture gets in, this lock will not corrode. The 5-pin cylinder is protected by a weather cap to keep dirt and debris out. with all these features standard, corrosion doesn't stand a chance. Hardened steel shackles are also available in the yellow and black covered padlocks and stainless steel shackles available in the blue covered padlocks.
