The blade is left unsharpened for safety purposes, the the tip is slightly sharpened. The blade also has a ridge that runs down the center of the blade. . The handle is made in a ribbed design for a great grip and a black imitation leather wrap for comfort. The pommel is made from solid steel and it helps to balance the weight of the sword. The pommel also has an ornate design with silver fittings. The scabbard that comes included is made from wood and also has a black leather imitation wrap to coordinate with the design of the rest of the sword. The drag is made in a ball point design and is made from polished 440 Stainless Steel. The scabbard's throat is made from 440 Stainless Steel and has a V cut to fit tightly with the guard of the sword. This is not a full tang sword -a display item only
