Triple Action Formula for Urinary Tract Health The strains of living bacteria in Bio-Kult Pro-Cyan have shown evidence that they may be helpful in preventing UTIs by interfering with the colonisation and survival of the E. coli bacteria. E. coli bacteria causes the vast majority of urinary tract infections, by attaching themselves to the lining of the urinary tract. (Urinary tract infections are the second most common type of infection in the body.) Cranberries have specific compounds that are believed to reduce E.coli's ability to adhere and bind to cells. These compounds are monosaccharide fructose, and a tannin called Proanthocyanidin (PAC).
