Get extra support for the center of your mattress by adding Classic Brands Hercules Bed Frame Support Center . The adjustable cross supports increases stability over wood slats alone and is the perfect additional support to today's heavier mattresses. The bed frame has heavy-duty telescoping legs that can be adjusted up to a maximum height of 12 inches and fits most bed frames. Hercules Premiere Heavy Duty Bed Support System is the perfect support for the middle of your bed. It adds stability and supports heavier foam mattresses without sagging. The cross supports are made from heavy duty steel and the height of the leg is adjustable to fit your bed frame. This system will not allow a wood foundation to bow when screws are used to hold the frame in place. It will never flex in the middle and allow a bed to have a center sag due to base support. This system will fit most bed frames. This system is meant to be used with both mattress and foundation – this is not a substitute for a box-spring or foundation. Do Not Use Without a Box Spring or Foundation This Bed Support System is to be used in conjunction with a box spring or foundation. Failure to do so, will cause the bed support system to fail and the mattress will not receive the proper support needed. Easy Assembly The Hercules Bed Frame Support System is easy to assemble; it can be put together in minutes and no tools are needed for assembly. Just unpack, assemble and you are ready to place your mattress set (mattress and foundation) on top: •Step 1- Place the three telescoping channel cross supports on the floor and slide a leg/channel lock assembly over each so the wing locking bolt and leg is facing up •Step 2- Take the two stability 'X' braces and fasten them with the bolts provided, as shown, to the three leg assemblies •Step 3- Carefully turn the three leg assembly over so that the foot pads on the legs are now facing down on the floor •Step 4-Place assembled frame inside bed frame and extend three channel sections so that the flat spaces rest fully upon the edges of your bed frame •Step 5- Center the assembly in the frame so that the leg are in the center. Now tighten the 'wing' bolt on each leg/channel lock assembly •Step 6- Position the entire assembly so that it is equal distant from the foot and head of your bed frame. (If your bed frame is wood, there are holes in the flat ends of the channels to fasten a small wood screw to lock the wood fame in place.) It is recommended that you drill an 1/8 inch pilot hole to avoid splitting the wood Get it Right the First Time It is also a good idea to check the size and the height of your mattress to make sure you are ordering the correct size. Keep in mind that you should combine the height of the frame, foundation or box-spring and the mattress to get a gauge of the how tall your bed will be.
