About this product

This high quality neodymium magnet is extremely versatile and very powerful with a holding force of about 75 lb pull force under ideal conditions. Both sides of the magnet are countersunk for a #12 screw, which makes this magnet excellent material for making a magnetic tool holder or kitchen knife holder by encased inside wood or aluminum case. The countersunk is on both sides, giving you the option to use either the N or S pole to hold a steel plate. Gauss Rating: 12,800 gauss. Holding Power: You need to apply 75 lb pulling force to separate it from a 3/4" ( 20 mm ) thick low carbon steel when you pull it directly from the surface. For painted or thinner steel, the holding power will be less. The side pulling force will be much less. Applications: Fishing magnets, magnetic holdings Notes: 1. All magnets are brittle and will break if they are allowed to collide with a magnetic surface or each other. 2. Shards produced from broken magnets are very sharp and can be ejected from collisions. Wear eye protection and gloves when handling larger or exceptionally powerful magnets. 3. Handle with care. Larger magnets can cause serious injuries due to pinching. Adult supervising is recommended. 4. Keep them away from pacemakers and children.
