Product Description Do you need a more secure way to child-proof your sliding windows? These keyed-locking sash locks help add peace of mind by increasing the safety of any unmonitored room with sliding windows. They are constructed of diecast zinc and come in a beautiful, white-painted finish, and only with their keys can the locks be disengaged to allow for opening of windows. These locks feature a universal design that allows them to be mounted on most vertical single-hung and double-hung sliding windows, in addition to those that slide horizontally. Depending on the size of the sash, these locks can be used as singles or pairs, and they can be installed on both left and right horizontal sliding sash. Each set contains two keys, one lock and keeper, and the installation fasteners. Installation of these sash locks is easy and can be done with a simple handheld Phillips head screwdriver. Other design features include a 1/4 inch narrow keeper, 2-1/4 inch mounting hole centers (distance between each mounting hole measured from center to center of holes), and industry standard finish to match other existing hardware in the home or office. These keyed sash locks can be mounted on most sliding windows where the checkrails of both the inner and outer sash rest flush, to include sliding windows constructed of aluminum, wood and vinyl. Only with the key inserted into the lock can the thumbturn swivel to open or close. These locks can be left in a free, non-key-locked operability, or with the lever key-locked in either the locked position or the unlocked position. This sash lock can be used on vertical single and double hung sliding windows, as well as on horizontal sliding windows, and it can be installed on windows constructed of aluminum, wood and vinyl sash and frames.
