Dr. George’s Dental White Gel Refill Bottle is part of Dr. George’s Dental White line, which has been in production for over 20 years and over 7 million units sold. The home whitening craze was actually started by Dr. George in the 1980s. Initially this gel was only distributed by dentists, but in 1991 was marketed at retailers across the U.S. Until 1994 when Crest White Strips were put on the market, Dr. George’s whitening products were the #1 product in the U.S.A. Available in a “refill” bottle, the gel has a mint taste and is 15% carbamide peroxide – one of the highest levels available for over the counter sale. It should be used inside of a tray for 20 minutes, up to 3 times each day for results in 1-3 weeks. Tooth color can improve by 7-11 shades. If used without trays, it may be mixed 50:50 with toothpaste a few times each week to extend whitening results. Dental White Gel may be used with existing whitening kit trays, or professional custom whitening trays. - Dr. George’s Dental White Gel Refill Bottle can be used with existing trays from previous whitening kits, custom professional whitening trays, or simply as a 50:50 solution on the toothbrush a few times each week. Greater results will be from wearing the gel inside of trays, but for someone that only wants to maintain their whitening, using it on the toothbrush can help. It is not recommended that you use this product to whiten your teeth simply by applying it to your toothbrush, as it is not effective that way. This solution works best by wearing in a tray for at least 20 minutes a day. The downside is that for tray wearers, it should be worn 3 times a day, making it a moderate time investment.
