The magic of the Drain Strain lies in the detachable basket that catches hair, jewelry, and everything else! Once installed, it takes just 3 simple steps remove the basket and reinstall it onto your Drain Strain. Simply “Turn, Lift & Click!” Remove Old Stopper Unscrew nut located underneath your sink and pull out the rod. Remove old drain stopper from sink and remove any existing hair in the drain. Install Drain Strain With the solid side of the stem facing towards the faucet, gently push the entire Drain Strain assembly down into the drain. Reinsert the rod below the sink into the closest hole in the stem and tighten the nut. Adjust Lever to Align Basket Fins Make sure the top of the fins of the basket are even with the top of the drain ring. If not, simply pull up on the lever behind your faucet to adjust until the basket fins are even with the drain ring.
