The large 4.25” circular crystalclear acrylic lens is designed with great intent to provide a dual-strength viewing area for any hobby or magnification application. While its general magnification strength is rated at 2x, a smaller spot lens within the larger lens affords as much as 5x magnification. See in a Different Light Situated right next to the edge of the lens is a pair of super-bright pure white (daylight color temperature) LED bulbs that provide reliable, flicker-free lighting directed at the object you’re viewing through the lens. These use only 0.32 watts and are rated at tens of thousands of hours, which means they virtually never need replacement. Power is supplied by three AAA batteries INCLUDED – and the LEDs’ power consumption efficiency gives you up to 40 hours of continued light on a single set of batteries. The base sports a multi-function clip with rubberized grip pads and a 1.75“ expansion range for a good hold even on thick surfaces. For tabletop/non-clip applications, two practical stability bars swing out from the base to allow usage on any flat area. Its 9” flexible gooseneck allows you to position the magnification lens precisely where you need it, and two 9” screw-in, removable gooseneck ‘helping hand’ clamps are included to hold onto your objects of interest. A soft, protective lens cloth/pouch is also included.
