Kernel Season’s was born, appropriately enough, at the home of the Maize and Blue. While a student at the University of Michigan, Brian Taylor was looking for ways to bring more flavor to his favorite snack, popcorn. He started to experiment with natural seasonings and ingredients, and shared his creations with friends in the dorm. From the responses he got he knew he had more than the perfect 3 a.m. snack. Upon Brian’s graduation in 1999, Kernel Season’s got real. We became a real company that introduced ourselves in movie theaters by giving free samples to patrons looking for something more fun and adventurous than butter and salt. Soon people realized that the best popcorn, movie theater popcorn, was even better with Kernel Season’s. Our company took off as the demand for more flavors made with real ingredients ignited across the United States. What makes your product special? Kernel Season's is the only company out there this obsessed with popcorn. :) We are committed to making products that help create YOUR perfect popcorn experience and that has lead us to the creation of more than 25 flavors of seasoning and toppings. One of the best things about creating Kernel Season's was also it's biggest challenge - it's the first product of it's kind! Before we entered the market, people had no idea how fantastic popcorn could be with seasoning. Or how even to apply the seasoning. Do you apply before popping? With butter? Does it work with air poppers? The list goes on and on. Being a newbie was also one of the most fulfilling and incredible parts of creating our company. We took a leap of faith that popcorn lovers across America would love our product as much as we did and as we got discovered, the positive feedback was overwhelming and very exciting. Definitely the best part about starting the company has been getting to know our loyal customers. We love creating new and exciting products to help them create their perfect popcorn!
