Upper - M-Select DRY Membrane. The Moab Rover Walking shoe from Merrell provides the ultimate in weather protection and sophistication. Engaging the wearer with a Waterproof Oily Leather upper with M-Select DRY waterproof membrane, acts as a shielding to reduce waterflow, sealing it out and letting moisture escape, for a dry and comfortable internal environment. The Moab also provides a strengthened abrasion resistant structure which works alongside a Bellow Tongue to engage rocks and root and diminishing there effects from contact and in time forms to the wearers foot for controlled comfort and a cushioned feel. Working into the interior, the Moab Rover shoe's Mesh lining treated with M-Select FRESH naturally prevents odour before it starts for fresh smelling feet and the use of a Removable EVA Footbed, promotes underfoot cushioning, when tackling tricky terrains. Midsole - Compression moulded EVA. Striding into the midsole, the Merrell Moab's Compression Moulded EVA Foot Frame, provides optimal cushioning, reducing forces pressed upon the underfoot and allowing a guided alignment of the foot through transition for which the Merrell air cushion in the heel takes places. This absorbs shock and adds stability to the heel strike section, promoting a soft strike on ground contact, which then employs the Moulded nylon arch shank, tackling torsion for the reduction of stress and deformation caused by uneven terrains and debris. Outsole - Vibram outsole. The Outsole of the Moab Rover Walking shoe utilises a Vibram Technical Outsole, this engages the wearer mile after mile with a high-performance rubber compound that takes on tough terrain with unmatched durability, stability, and slip resistance. The ruggedness of the 5mm lug depth in the Vibram sole means the Moab Rover can be relied upon on all hiking terrains.
