Originally developed as the perfect Woodburning surface Basswood Country Planks are very versatile and are easy to chip carve; provide an ideal surface to paint even with chalkboard paints; and they are easy to decoupage and stamp. Basswood Country Planks are often seen as rustic plate chargers or food platters for picnics, parties and rustic. Each piece is kiln dried and finely sanded before being inspected and shrink-wrapped. No chemicals are used in the manufacture of our Basswood Planks. This Made in America product is sold by width increments only. All pieces are kiln dried and sanded by Walnut Hollow to ensure the natural tree bark is retained. This is a natural product so each piece will be unique in size and look and might have some minor defects such as flecking, blue or black stains or knots and curvature. The length is sawn and will be consistent at 11-inches long (279mm). The width will be between 7-inches (178mm) and 9-inches (228mm) wide by 5/8-inches (16mm) thick. There may be a small amount of dust from the bark when the package is first opened. If it doesn’t have shrink wrap and a Walnut Hollow label when you receive your piece then it is a counterfeit and should be returned to Amazon. Proudly made in Wisconsin, USA.
