About this product

Pool Mate Black Algaecide is a 60% poly algaecide perfect for preventing algae growth and killing existing black, green and yellow/mustard algae. Pool Mate Black Algaecide also helps clear up cloudy water. It does not affect pH, won’t stain surfaces or leave residue. This product is non-foaming and non-metallic. Use weekly to prevent algae growth. This product kills algae and clears the water in your swimming pool without requiring pool closing and without foaming. Directions for use when you have visible algae growth: 16 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Initial treatment if water is clean: 9 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Regular routine maintenance dose: 4 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of pool water weekly. Pools containing heavy algae growth must be cleaned prior to using this product. 24 hours after treating visible algae growth, algae debris must be removed by standard cleaning procedures. Dilute this product with at least nine parts water before applying. Pour required amount of this product into plastic watering can and fill with water. Maintaining constant pool circulation, sprinkle solution around the edge of the pool. Always apply chemicals separately. Never combine them.
