Many of the brand’s long-term customers were disappointed that the Reebok Club MEMT is flimsier and not as comfortable as some of the older Reebok models. Also, the majority were not impressed by the Memory Tech sock liner as it was too thin and too soft. Overall, it is still a good shoe given how stylish and classic it is, but it probably is not the right shoe for those who need to be on their feet all day or those who do a lot of walking. Reebok was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes.
