- Caregiver Alarms offer an efficient method of monitoring when someone is getting up from a bed or chair.
- Volume control is located on Bed Alarm. The chair sensor pad should be placed below the buttocks. Cord from pad securely connects to the exit alarm monitor which can be attached to the chair or wall or it can be placed in a convenient location nearby.
- To silence the chair exit alarm, simply press the reset button located on the side of the alarm.
- To operate, simply place pad under your patient's buttock area, and alarm will sound as they get up and before they put their feet on the ground. Pads are made of a soft vinyl, with foam interior, and are sealed for incontinence protection.

Chair exit alarms and sensor pads are the best method of getting an early alert that your patient is trying to get out of a chair. Place the pad under your patient's buttock area. The pad has a cord which runs along the side of the chair. When the patient starts to get up, taking their weight off the pad, the pad sends a signal to the chair exit alarm monitor and the monitor will start to alarm and let you know they need assistance. By having an alarm in the room with the patient, you will not only hear the alert from an adjacent room, but the patient may slow down and wait for you because they hear the alarm sound, giving you valuable time to come to their aid.
