It is lightweight, hypoallergenic, and will not tarnish or rust. However, since aluminum is a soft metal, it is prone to scratches and scuffs. All items are individually hand stamped so no two items will be alike. There will be variations in letter placement and some letters may be deeper than others. All variations should not be considered flaws, but rather unique characteristics of your item. We do our best to assure long lasting font/design color, however nothing we place on the ID tag is considered permanent. While placing your ID tag on your stethoscope the coloring can come off. Color touch ups will be required, and can easily be done with a sharpie marker and a magic eraser
