Although these are very basic glasses they offer excellent protection from the sun. They are rated at UV400 Protection--which is said to be 100% protection from UVA and UVB rays. Kids are pretty rough with glasses. These entry level glasses won't make you cry if they need to be replaced. Recommended to clean lenses with a soft cloth and never paper towel. Abrasive material may scratch the lenses. Have some fun with these glasses. Look sharp at the park, riding bikes or maybe everyone at a party could get a pair as a party favor--or to participate in a skit together. Everyone will look cool!
