Ideal for everything from a healthy mid-day snack to movie night with friends, this hot-air popcorn maker prepares 3-1/2 quarts of hot, crispy popcorn in just three minutes. Simply add 1/2 cup of kernels using the included measuring cup, place a large-size bowl (not included) under the spout, and flip the switch to "on". The unit leaves behind virtually no unpopped kernels, and its angled chute does a good job of directing popped corn into the bowl. Because it works with hot air instead of oil, there's not the high fat or oil content to worry about. That said, there's no reason the popcorn can't be doctored up with generous amounts of salt and butter--or brewer's yeast, spritzes of soy sauce, parmesan cheese, and other creative toppings. The measuring cup, which sits in the lid, doubles as a butter-melting dish. Just add the desired amount of butter or margarine (the heat from the popping process will gently melt it) and drizzle over the bowl of popped popcorn. With a compact size that takes up minimal space on the counter, the popcorn popper measures approximately 8 by 5-1/2 by 12 inches.
