These rockwool plug starter sheets are designed to have superb air to water ratio which allows for better water retention and gives the plant an ideal level of moisture and aeration for the plants to grow in, resulting in healthier roots. Rockwool is a natural product made from basaltic rock which makes them popular in organic growing systems and hydroponic systems. Rockwool's dense structure of fibers will not degrade as easily as other growing media such as soil therefore it will provide optimal water retention and aeration during the duration of the germination process. These rockwool plugs work great in a standard flat growing tray and have pre-drilled holes to easily plant seeds and cuttings. Once the plant is rooted, you may transfer the individual cubes to larger blocks of stonewool or plant them directly into a growing media of your choice.
