The Achilles Desert Hawk UHP tire is a premium quality performance tire for SUVs. Drivers get the best of a long-lasting touring tire combined with a heavy duty truck tire. It has a directional tread design that provides good traction for both wet and dry road conditions, and a solid center rib that delivers straight line stability and improved high speed handling. On the side of the tire there is a rim guard. This raised rib just above the top of where the wheel touches the tire provides wheel damage protection. Double wide circumferential grooves and multiple lateral grooves and sipes channel water to reduce the possibility of hydroplaning. Finally, the tread rubber itself has Achilles Tire's patented High Disperse Silica Compound, which gives excellent handling on wet road conditions, very low rolling resistance for better fuel economy, as well as longer tread wear-life.
