Chemi-pure Blue is a good product to reduce the organic compounds, odors, phenols, toxins, dissolved metals, phosphates, and silicates. It uses the resin technology to quickly remove the organics and phosphates from the aquarium water whilre increasing redox and stabilizing pH. The product can last longer than any of the filter media and reduce the frequent of the water changes. This product is designed to absorb nitrogenous organic molecules with phosphates and some nitrates faster for a longer period of time.
