Standing at 20cm tall, the Cole & Mason Precision Capstan Pepper mill is ideal for anyone who enjoys the taste and flavour of freshly ground pepper without the hassle of constantly refilling. Made from high quality beech wood from a sustainable source and finished simply with a clear lacquer to allow the natural beauty of the wood grain to shine through. A classically timeless design that would not look out of place in the kitchen or on the dining table whilst still remaining an essential everyday kitchen tool. Hints & tips: If your mill becomes difficult to grind, particularly on a fine setting, trying clearing the mechanism. Turn the mill upside down, loosen the knob to the coarsest setting and twist the top. This will free any large peppercorns or salt crystals that may have become lodged. Retighten the knob to the desired setting. Do not put salt in your pepper mill as this will corrode the carbon steel mechanism. All Cole & Mason mills are covered by the lifetime mechanism guarantee giving you the confidence to season like a professional for years to come. The Precision mechanism is made from hardened carbon steel that strips instead of crushing peppercorns allowing them to release their natural oils which gives you more flavour with every turn. Adjust the grind from a fine to a coarse setting with a simple twist of the knob on the top. To fill up the mill, unscrew the knob completely and remove the wooden top, fill with your favourite whole peppercorns, replace the top and knob and continue to enjoy the taste of freshly ground pepper.
