Mother Earth Perlite is naturally occurring siliceous rock that expands up to 20 times its original volume when heated to 1600° F. This produces a growing media that has a neutral pH of 6.5 - 7.0 and adds porosity to soil and soilless mixes. Mother Earth Perlite is one of the largest perlites on the market, with the Mother Earth Perlite #4 measuring around 1 in size and Mother Earth Perlite #3 measuring around 1/2 in.
