Product Description The multi-purpose Reversible Griddle from Nordic Ware is one piece no fully equipped modern kitchen can live without! With one smooth side for frying eggs and pancakes, and another side with raised grates for searing and grilling meat, this cast aluminum griddle does it all. Cast aluminum conducts heat very evenly across its surface, helping you achieve nicely browned, evenly cooked results every time you use it. This griddle is lighter weight than a cast iron griddle so it is safe for use on ceramic and glass top stoves, as well as, electric and gas stove tops. It is not induction compatible. Proudly made in the USA by Nordic Ware. For optimal results: Always start with a clean pan to prevent smoke from food residue when the griddle is used on the opposite side. Unlike cast iron, which requires a pre-seasoning process, our cast aluminum griddle is non-stick coated and only a small amount of oil or butter is needed to prevent sticking. Because cast aluminum heats evenly and quickly, a low or medium heat setting is all that is needed for great results. Overheating our griddle or heating it without food can damage the non stick surface and warp the pan. Clean the griddle with mild soap and a soft cloth after each use and never use metal utensils or abrasive cleaning products, which will scratch the nonstick surface of the pan. Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it will diminish the release properties of the nonstick coating on the pan.
