Opti-Free Puremoist Rewetting Drops are a safe and effective solution that provides moisture and comfort for all day use. This solution can be used on silicone hydrogel and soft (hydrophilic) lenses while still in the eye. These drops are used for preventing protein deposits and buildups that come with constant use of contact lenses. The Opti-Free Puremoist Rewetting Drops formula is considered thimerosal-free and sorbic acid-free. The proper use of these rewetting drops is to moisten, reduce discomfort, and help remove particular material that may result in eye irritation or discomfort. Using this formula to lubricate the contact lenses multiple times during the day may also allow for extended use. The rewetting drops can be applied directly to the eye for immediate moisture and relief, where the multi-purpose solutions are to be used strictly to soak the lens by itself.
