The scale measures items weighing up to 16 ounces (500 g) in precise 1/4-ounce (5 g) increments, making it ideal for dietary or baby needs. Made of durable plastic that wipes clean, the scale features a 2-3/4-inch round dial and a small platform that snugly weds the underside of the weighing container. After the container is positioned in place, simply turn the knob until the dial needle registers zero. Add and weigh food as needed, resetting to zero after each ingredient if desired. If acidic or strongly colored foods such as oranges, curries, and tomatoes are to be weighed, it’s a good idea to line the container with plastic wrap first.
