Tips for using the Sculpey Tools Clay Conditioning Machine - - If your work surface is too thick and the included c clamp doesn't fit you can get an extendable c clamp from a hardware store that will fit thick work surfaces. - For travel to classes or guilds simply take off the handle and stick it in your travel bag - The following techniques are made easier using the clay conditioning machine: - Mokume Gane - make sheets of clay of the same thickness, stack, run through the clay conditioning machine and repeat. - Skinner Blend - this blending technique created by Judith Skinner is easier with the clay conditioning machine. - Texturing Clay - Always put the sheet of clay into the clay conditioning machine fold first so that air isn't trapped inside the clay.- To fully condition a bar of clay it takes 20 passes through the clay conditioning machine.
