Shimano's move to 11-speed MTB has been about more than just adding another cog. It's about fundamentally redesigning the way the entire system shifts to make it smoother, crisper, and more reliable. The all-new Deore XT M8000 shifters have been completely redesigned from the last generation to provide a simple, adaptable cockpit with the latest technology. Shift feel has been reengineered to be 20% for the rear, meaning far less force is required to shift the chain. A longer lever body gives you more leverage to work with, further enhancing the feel and ease of shifting. The internal mechanism has been completely redesigned for consistently stable shifting that will shift perfectly every time, and require none of the odd little "nudges" to get the chain into gear. This is coupled with an all-new shift cable and house with hyper low-friction coatings.
