The MultiScanner A200 is Zircon’s newest electronic stud finder and metal detector that is sold exclusively on Amazon. The A200 is designed with a smooth, ergonomic rubber grip allowing for a comfortable yet secure hold for any size hand, at any angle. This multifunctional surface scanner uses the most recent technology in density detecting software and circuitry. The Zircon A200 has a 3-mode selector switch making it easy to change functions while the ultra-bright LCD screen, patented SpotLite Pointing System, and audio tone all indicate the location of the target. This Zircon scanner also comes equipped with a Signal Strength Indicator that helps to distinguish between shallow and deep targets. The MultiScanner A200 includes a backlit display for hard to see places and ACT (Auto Correcting Technology) that automatically corrects common user errors, such as when scanning begins over a stud, in addition to a Low Battery Indicator to alert its users to replace its battery for optimal performance results. The tool constantly scans its surroundings and recalibrates itself if necessary. The scanner has 2 stud scanning modes to locate the center, edges, and direction of wood and metal studs and joists behind walls, floors, and in ceilings. In StudScan Mode, the MS A200 scans up to 0.75 of an inch (19 mm) deep. Switch over to DeepScan Mode to double the scanning depth to 1.5 inches (38 mm). Metal Scan Mode locates non-ferrous metal, such as copper pipes, up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) deep and ferrous metal, such as rebar, up to 3 inches (75 mm) deep. Metal Scan Mode finds studs behind lath and plaster walls, tile, drywall and stucco walls by identifying the consistent pattern of screw or nail heads in the studs. The A200 is programmed with a Wire Warning Detection feature that indicates the presence of live, unshielded electrical wires up to 2 inches (50 mm) deep when scanning in all modes.
